Toro Lawnmower Report
8/28/00 -- Lawn service guy mows lawn. Complains that lawn has "high" and >"low" spots. Low spots look suspiciously like moss. At least moss is green.
8/25/00 -- Name of lawn service guy pulled off bulletin board in supermarket.
7/14/00 -- Lawn mower is thwacked up side of its carburetor. Starts. Sort of.
7/12/2000 -- Carburetor adjusted: Successfully mowed lawn.
7/6/00 -- Ed Bromfield protests not getting full credit for loaning lawn mower in prior years6/20/00 -- Returned to repair shop:
6/12/00 -- Released from repair shop: - Bill:$186.29
Number of times mowed lawn before breaking: 1
10/15/01 -- the infamous Toro lawn mower was wheeled to a friend's garage sale, where it was sold for $10 to a slightly suspicious municipal police officer, who nonetheless could not resist a perceived bargain. Friend unhappy to realize than the entire police department will soon believe she is the prior owner of this ill-tempered, unfaithful, completely jinxed machine. Gave friend the $10 in partial compensation for what will probably become a lifetime of "excessive noise" and "parking too close to hydrant" tickets.
5/5/02 -- Brand-new, deluxe Sears Craftsman mower rolled out onto lawn. Promptly flooded and stalled. Considered buying flock of sheep as lawn maintenance alternative.
